For sure it must be The Supreme Irony. I do not know what has trigged this, but Yahoo has just given me a "form message" to tell me that I am under review as a Possible Spammer. It is entirely voluntary this review, they advise. But if I did not voluntarily submit to the review within 20 days of their notice (today - the same day I set this up!!), they say they would automatically delete my account and my new blog.
Well, I have two blogs so, either the one with 71 visitors, or this one with Zero visitors (it just started) is the problem in Google's view. I am hopeful that we will be allowed to continue our effort to combat spam which we started today.
Wouldn't it be the "funniest thing" if our little effort to alert google and yahoo group owners of the email name of those who send us spam, is called "spam" by Google? One American friend says it is called "Orwellian" after George Orwell and his term, "doublespeak." That is where you say that White is Black, and that Black is White. Our effort to BLOCK SPAMMERS by simply NOTING WHO IS SENDING IT so that our fellow group owners can POOL this information and STOP SPAMMERS who are SPAMMING, is called SPAMMING. Whew.
Perhaps being Filipina by ancestry and bloood it is over my head to understand, and an American can explain how the computer of Google has identified our effort to combat Spam, as Spam. Will Google be the Great Defender of Spam, by killing us on our "day of birth" as a new blog?
I do receive at my yahoo group SlimGurls, dozens of spams every week (sometimes in one day), some of which is Google blog sites. Somehow, these obvious commercial spams elude the hyper sensitive computer "eyes" (sensors? what is the correct term?) of Google but, The Madam is snared in the Google Spam Police dragnet.
The few who may be reading this can be sure that The Madam will carry on, regardless of what Forum she will make use of. I am hopeful that the knife being wielded by the Spam Police at Google, will find any of the more worthy targets of their operations, and in fact, I cheer them on.

Yahoo is no better. You can report spam every-which-way, including Sunday - you even get a Thankyou, because.... But nothing has improved with their spam filter in all the time I've been on-line
